Key Takeaways
- 1Late mornings do not cancel your day, you can still choose progress.
- 2Health checkups count as self care just as much as gym days and skincare.
- 3Small resets like laundry and color coding your closet can calm your mind.
- 4Grocery runs and cooking at home can turn into quality time with friends.
- 5Your “imperfect” real life still counts as a glow up season.
Good morning princess… at 11:30. If you are the type who gets random motivation at 2 a.m. and then wakes up in the late morning wondering what planet you are on, this day was for you.
This vlog started with me in full “rebrand at 4 a.m.” mode, VA and CeCe driving in to visit, and a long to-do list that looked nothing like a “perfect aesthetic day.” It was real life. A little messy, very pink, and surprisingly productive.
Late Start, Still Productive
I went to bed at something like four in the morning because my brain decided it was time to plan a whole rebrand and sort my life out. You know that random wave of motivation where you suddenly have ten Notion tabs open and a new version of yourself in your head? That.
So yes, I woke up late. The old me would have felt guilty. The version of me you see now just shrugs, brushes her teeth, and asks, “Okay, what can we still get done today?”
VA and CeCe were already on the road, making their way to me for the weekend. That gave me a little deadline: clean up, reset, and get my space ready for girl time. A slow morning does not cancel the rest of the day. You can still choose to show up.
Grown Woman Health Energy
One big thing I have been leaning into this year is actually taking my health seriously. We spend so much time changing our hair, buying gym sets, planning routines, and then low-key hide from the doctor.
Finding new doctors used to stress me out, especially after moving. New city, new insurance, new everything. Now I use Zocdoc, type in what I need, tap my insurance, and pick a time. No awkward phone calls, no guessing. That is how I found my gynecologist, dentist, and other doctors.
Booking a checkup might not feel as fun as buying a new pair of leggings, but it is part of main-character energy. Taking care of your body and mind is the real “glow up.” Pretty is cute. Healthy and present is better.
Rainy Weather, Messy Room, Real Life
Right when I decided to go clean my car, the sky said “nah.” Full rain, lightning, the whole show. Old me would have let that ruin the mood. Instead, I pivoted.
If I cannot clean the car, I can clean the room. So I turned on some YouTube, pulled up my chaotic “Watch Later” list full of self improvement content, and started folding clothes.
Laundry piles do not mean you are lazy. Sometimes they just mean life is life-ing and you picked other priorities. Turning on a video that inspires you, lighting a candle, and putting your clothes away one shirt at a time can shift your whole energy.
Color coordination is my love language. Seeing my closet go from random chaos to gradients of pink, white, neutrals, and denim made my brain feel so calm. Tiny visual wins count.
Thrifting For A New Era
I had a mini haul from Uptown Cheapskate, which is kind of like a cute thrift and resale spot. They invited me in, gave me store credit, and I went off.
- A pink Adidas zip-up that basically screams “gym but make it cute”
- Zara jeans that actually reach my ankles and hug my waist
- Fun tie dye pants to push me out of my comfort zone
- The cutest little animal print shorts that look like designer boxers
Thrifting gives you permission to experiment with style without feeling like you are burning your whole bank account. You can try bolder pieces, figure out what feels like you now, and let go of old versions of your closet that do not match the woman you are becoming.
Grocery Runs With The Girls
Once VA and CeCe arrived, the solo reset turned into a full girl weekend. We hit Aldi for groceries, then Walmart, and somehow turned a normal grocery run into a whole rainbow cart situation.
We grabbed:
- Fruit for snacks and smoothie moments
- Veggies for omelets and salads
- Mini pizza crusts for personal pizzas
- Cheese, turkey, toppings, sauces, and juice for fun drinks
Doing this alone can feel like a chore. Doing this with friends turns into laughing in the aisles, rating random foods, and making way too many jokes in the cookie section.
Grocery runs become quality time when you treat them like part of your soft life, not just errands.
Cozy Pizza Night And Little Rituals
Back home, we laid everything out and made personal pizzas. Everyone built theirs differently. Some went full pepperoni. I went in on olives. We tested different mimosas, rated them, and dragged the ones that tasted strange.
Here is what I loved about that night:
- We cooked at home instead of defaulting to takeout
- We sat around the kitchen, talked about life, and actually tasted our food instead of rushing
- We let the process be messy and fun, not perfect and aesthetic for the camera
These little rituals are how you build memories in your twenties. It is not always big trips and big milestones. Sometimes it is homemade pizza, a drink in a cute glass, and your best friends leaning on the counter talking about nothing and everything.
Letting “Real Life” Count As A Reset
This day was not some fantasy routine with a 6 a.m. workout, perfect lighting, and a three hour morning routine. It was rain, late wake up, laundry piles, grocery carts, sponsor segments, and inside jokes.
Here is the thing. That still counts.
You can rebrand in your notes app at four in the morning and still have a beautiful day. You can miss the sun and still reset under cloudy skies. You can clean one corner of your life, cook one meal at home, book one doctor appointment, and call that growth.
Progress does not always look like a full reset montage. Sometimes it looks like a slightly cleaner room, a fridge with groceries, a calendar with a health appointment, and friends laughing in your kitchen.
That is grown woman energy too.
